Downloading

When you are using the internet you are downloading, as your computer must download information from the web for you to view it on your screen. You can also download files, such as music tracks or albums, movies and programs from the internet.

Download restrictions

If you have an unlimited package, you do not normally need to worry about how much you are downloading. However, some packages have download restrictions or caps. This means that the provider is placing a limit on your online activity. If you go over your restriction, you may be asked to upgrade your package to one with a higher restriction, or pay for the extra amount that you are downloading. Restrictions are usually measured in gigabytes (GB). 1 GB is 1024 megabytes (Mb). 1 megabyte is 1024 kilobyte (Kb).
Monthly usage

In order to establish the package with the right connection for you, it is important to estimate your monthly usage. The following table shows approximately how much you will download for various activities.
